Advocacy Bootcamp

THE CLIENT:

THE INSTITUTE FOR SECURITY STUDIES (ISS)

THE TASK:

  • Help practitioners to conceptualize, plan and support them to deliver successful campaigns for them to have relevant influence on policies and programs and achieve meaningful impact.

THE OUTCOMES:

Others do tell this story best:

“Two weeks beginning March 18th 2013 at the ACPST has put an indelible mark on my advocacy skills, in enhancing the living conditions of the veterans in Uganda, that I gained. A lesson learned: many times we may fail to diagnose our problems, sometimes we may know our challenges but fail to have the right prescriptions, and sometimes we completely fail to identify the relevant stakeholders in alliance building and the challenges remain in a manner that affects our human security.  The advocacy course is well-blended as not to see this happen! Valerie, the course coordinator had emphasized that you use what works.”
