Impact
The IDRC’s Think Tank initiative contracted Niyel to mentor 4 francophone research institutes from West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso and Senegal) and strengthen their capacity to provide visibility for research outputs and successes. The strategy encouraged turning research outputs into advocacy actions that shift policy and practice across the 4 research institutions, which increases their capacity to influence various policies. This support allowed Think Tank beneficiaries to re-shape their external and internal communication, and teach them how to use research findings to develop evidence-based advocacy for policy influencing purposes in their respective countries.
