Concept:
Niyel partnered with RTI International to design and implement a national communication and advocacy campaign on better education for young people in Senegal aged 7-14 years old. The purpose of this project was to raise awareness for the issue and help increase the literacy competencies for youth. Activities included street actions, celebrity engagement, and school tours.

The Task::
The purpose of this project was to raise awareness for the issue and help increase the literacy competencies for youth.
Outcomes:
- Widespread public discourse on the poor reading skills of children aged 7-14. Significant coverage by national off and online media of the campaign activation in the streets of Dakar.
- Engagement (far beyond the campaign) of Senegalese celebrities, including wrestlers and media personalities, in supporting schools both with their voice as well as material resources.
- Engagement of several schools across Dakar, and the commitment of the municipalities for greater support.
