Safe and Secure – Achieving Immunity Together
Outline
In order to increase trust and uptake of vaccines and routine immunizations in Nigeria, DRC, and Burkina Faso this project engages influential African voices in media, healthcare, and civil society to engage the public through games, podcasts, radio shows, and activities leading up to African Vaccination Week. The idea is to get the public’s attention in a way that breaks down misconceptions and positively reinforces the benefits of vaccines and immunizations.

As this initiative is still in its beginning stages, we are highlighting current successes that will lead to impact.
- A network of over 65 civil society organizations from 9 african countries working together to debunk myths on routine immunization and vaccination.
- Over a dozen major influencers in music, comedy and sports engaging in conversation with their audiences on routine immunization
- More than 200,000 engagements online
- More than 6 millions views on national TV and radio programs in three countries.
